Just three hours from Atlanta is the real deal in tournament action. Enjoy a beautiful drive through the mountains of North Carolina and buy in with no limit Texas Holdem tournaments almost every day of the week. For those who like Omaha Cherokee offers a weekly Pot Limit Omaha tournament every Wednesday night.

At this time, the tournaments are all played on the PokerPro electronic tables which is sometimes referred to as video poker. However, Jason Jones a representative from Harrah’s Cherokee NC Casino confirmed that they will be introducing live dealer tables in the near future. Mr. Jones told Atlanta Poker News that live dealers will not replace all of the PokerPro tables, Cherokee Casino owns some of the PokerPro tables. Those who enjoy playing a high volume of hands will enjoy the electronic tables even after the live dealers are introduced.

The WSOP tour is planning a stop at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino sometime in Spring 2013 according to their website. Cherokee’s Mr. Jones said they have yet to firm up a date but it should be some time in April 2013. Cherokee Casino will let us know once all details are hammered out about their first WSOP event.
